Stripe
You can connect Stripe directly to AlertHub without writing any code. Using our dynamic placeholder system, you can extract data from Stripe’s JSON payload and use it in your alert titles and descriptions.
Integration Guide
1. Get your Project Key
- Go to your AlertHub Project Settings.
- Copy your One-Way Secret Key.
2. Construct the Webhook URL
We will use Query Parameters to configure how AlertHub handles the Stripe event. Replace YOUR_KEY with your actual key.
Template URL:
https://api.thealerthub.com/sendAlert?ah_key=YOUR_KEY&ah_source=Stripe&ah_title=Stripe:{{type}}
ah_key: Your secret key.ah_source: Sets the source label to “Stripe”.ah_title: Uses the{{type}}placeholder to show the event type (e.g. “Stripe: payment_intent.succeeded”).
3. Configure Stripe Dashboard
- Log in to your Stripe Dashboard.
- Go to Developers > Webhooks.
- Click Add endpoint.
- Paste the URL you constructed above into the Endpoint URL field.
- Select the Events you want to listen to (e.g.,
payment_intent.failed,customer.subscription.updated). - Click Add endpoint.
Advanced Configuration
You can make your alerts much more informative by using deep placeholders from the Stripe Event object.
Tip: Use our Webhook Builder to visually construct these URLs and avoid syntax errors.
Payment Failed Example
To receive a Critical alert when a payment fails, add ah_level=critical and a custom description:
...&ah_level=critical&ah_description=Payment of {{data.object.amount}} {{data.object.currency}} failed.
New Subscription Example
To receive a Success (Info) alert when a new customer subscribes:
...ah_title=New Subscription&ah_description=Customer {{data.object.customer}} subscribed to plan {{data.object.plan.id}}
