WooCommerce orders on self-hosted Gotify

A self-hosted shop already runs WordPress. A self-hosted Gotify server is the matching pocket: Android push you control, no WhatsApp Pro, no “notify Slack on order” plugin to abandon. The AlertHub WordPress plugin listens to any WooCommerce hook. Gotify is just a Connection.

Hook tables and title recipes live in WooCommerce order alerts. This post is the last mile and the contrast with Shopify → ntfy (SaaS store, hosted topic vs self-hosted stack).

Gotify must be HTTPS and reachable from the internet. WordPress does not call Gotify; AlertHub does.

Only warning and critical leave AlertHub. Hundreds of small paid orders as warning will train you to ignore Gotify — keep those at info and page on failed pay / low stock / large carts.

Setup (once)

Plugin + project key under Tools → AlertHub (WordPress docs).
Add the WooCommerce hooks from the order guide ({{0}} is the order id on payment complete).
Gotify Apps → paste https://your-gotify/message?token=… in Connections → Gotify.

Do not install a second WooCommerce-to-Gotify plugin.

Alert 1: Paid order (phone fulfillment)

woocommerce_payment_complete at warning if you pack from Android. Title WooCommerce paid order #{{0}}. If the shop is busy, drop this to info and keep failures louder.

Alert 2: Payment failed

woocommerce_order_status_failed at warning (priority 5). Same leak as Stripe → Gotify: if you also sell SaaS on Stripe, one AlertHub project can hold both shops — use ah_source (WooCommerce vs Stripe).

Alert 3: Low stock

woocommerce_low_stock at warning. Ads against an empty SKU are more expensive than a Gotify ping. Keep it off critical unless that product is the store.
