Get Instant Alerts for Typeform and Google Forms Submissions

A new form submission is a lead, a bug report, or a “please call me back” — not an email that waits until Monday. Searches like Typeform Slack notification, Google Forms Telegram alert, and Tally webhook are really the same job: get the answer in front of a human in seconds.

You can connect each form tool to Slack inside Zapier. You will do it again for Telegram, again for email, and you still will not have a filterable history. Put AlertHub as the single Zapier action instead. One Zap per form (or one Zap with Paths) and every warning alert fans out to the channels you already use.

Which form tool should trigger the Zap?

ToolTypical Zapier triggerGood for
TypeformNew EntryMarketing quizzes, qualified leads
Google FormsNew Response (via Sheets or Forms)Internal ops, HR, classroom
TallyNew SubmissionFast landing-page forms
JotformNew SubmissionLonger applications
Fillout / Tally / PaperformNew submissionSame pattern

The AlertHub step never changes. Only the trigger app does. Setup for that step: Zapier docs and the public invite.

Recipe: Typeform → AlertHub

  1. Accept the AlertHub Zapier invite and create a Zap.
  2. Trigger: Typeform — New Entry. Pick the form that captures paid or sales-intent leads.
  3. Action: Alerthub — Send a New Alert.

Map something like:

  • Title: Typeform lead: {{Email}}
  • Description: {{Name}} · {{Company}} · Score {{Score}} · {{Message}}
  • Level: warning (so it reaches Telegram/Slack). Use critical for “budget > X” via a Zapier Filter/Paths step.
  • Source: Typeform

Test with a dummy entry. It should appear immediately on the dashboard and on every connected destination.

Recipe: Google Forms → AlertHub

Google Forms is everywhere in schools and ops teams. Two common triggers:

  1. Google Forms — New Response (when available in your Zapier plan), or
  2. Google Sheets — New Spreadsheet Row on the linked responses sheet (more reliable for older Forms).

Example mapping from a support form:

  • Title: Support form: {{Issue type}}
  • Description: From {{Email}}. Details: {{Description}}
  • Level: warning for “outage” / “billing”; info for “feedback”
  • Source: Google Forms

Use a Zapier Filter so only rows where Issue type is Urgent become warning. Everything else can be info and stay in the AlertHub feed for weekly review.

WordPress contact forms vs Zapier

If the form lives on WordPress (Contact Form 7, WPForms), you can fire a hook in the WordPress plugin with zero Zapier tasks. Use Zapier when:

  • The form is Typeform / Tally hosted off WordPress.
  • You need to combine answers from two tools before alerting.
  • You want Paths (VIP vs normal) without PHP.

Ideas that convert (and get searched)

  • Demo request form → critical to the founder’s Telegram after hours; warning to Slack #sales during business hours (two Zaps or a schedule filter).
  • NPS / Typeform follow-up with score ≤ 6 → warning titled Detractor: {{Email}} so support calls the same day.
  • Job application (Jotform) → info in the dashboard for HR; warning only if “senior” is checked.
  • Internal incident form (Google Form) used by non-technical staff → same AlertHub project as uptime or Stripe alerts so ops has one feed.

Do not dump raw PII into public Slack if contractors sit there. Prefer a title with a ticket id or first name, and keep emails in AlertHub (restricted project members) or a private channel.

Why not “Email me on every Typeform”?

Inbox overload is why those emails get filtered. AlertHub lets you:

  • Keep a quiet audit (info) of every submission.
  • Page people only for warning/critical.
  • Add WhatsApp later without a new Zap.

FAQ

Does Google Forms need a Sheet?
If the native Forms trigger is missing, yes: responses → Sheet → New Row is the standard workaround.

Can I attach the file upload?
Zapier can pass the file URL in the description. AlertHub stores text; open the Typeform or Drive link from the alert body.

Make.com instead of Zapier?
Same idea with modules: Make + AlertHub and the Make overview article.

Next steps

Create the Typeform Zap today using the Zapier guide, set level to warning, and connect Telegram. The next lead will not wait in an unread tab.
