Not every operator wants Slack on their personal phone. Telegram is great until the company bans it. WhatsApp has a Pro quota. AlertHub already shows a live feed in the browser; the missing piece is a push when you are away from the tab.
Two clients share the same account:
- Web (PWA) at app.thealerthub.com — installable, filters, search, mark as read. This is the full inbox, including retention.
- Mobile app — registers an Expo push token for project members. Warning and critical alerts fan out to those devices (critical uses high priority). Info never pushes.
You do not configure Firebase, APNs, or a Slack mobile app. Members of the project who logged into the mobile app and allowed notifications get the ping.

Install the PWA for icon + offline shell + the same dashboard. Rely on the mobile app (or Telegram/WhatsApp) when the laptop is closed.
Setup (once)
- Create or join a project at app.thealerthub.com.
- On the phone, install the AlertHub app, sign in, allow notifications.
- Send a test
warningfrom the Ingestion API. You should see the row in the PWA and a push on the device.
Connect Slack anyway for the team room; push is personal.
Workflow 1: Founder on the road
Shopify risk and Stripe failures as critical, mobile push + WhatsApp. Successful orders stay info so the lock screen stays quiet. Shopify alerts, levels.
Workflow 2: Team with mixed devices
Some people never install the app. They keep Telegram or email destinations. People who did install get push and chat — that is OK. Mute one if it doubles.
Workflow 3: PWA as the operations desk
On a tablet at the warehouse, install the PWA, filter the project, mark orders read as you pack. Push still hits the founder’s phone for failures.
Ideas to squeeze more value
- Logout clears the token on the mobile app so a sold phone stops buzzing.
- Multi-device. Tokens are stored per user; several phones can register.
- Do not build your own FCM in each microservice. POST to AlertHub once.

Is there an app store listing?
Use the AlertHub mobile app your team already distributed (Expo). The marketing site PWA is the web dashboard.
Will a PWA install on desktop enable push?
Treat push as the mobile app path. Open the dashboard for history.
Can I disable push but keep Slack?
Uninstall the app or revoke notification permission. Destinations are unchanged.
