Make (formerly Integromat) is where a lot of European and ops-heavy teams already automate Stripe, Airtable, HubSpot, Google Sheets, and WhatsApp Business. The usual last module is “send a Slack message.” Then someone asks for Telegram. Then email. Then you have three routers and a scenario that is painful to copy.
AlertHub is a better last module. One AlertHub app in Make records the event and, for warning/critical, pushes it to every destination on the project. The scenario stays small. Chat tools can change next quarter.
This matches searches like Make.com Slack notification, Integromat Telegram alert, and Make WhatsApp notification — with one hub instead of one module per chat app.
Why Make users add AlertHub
- Routers get simpler. You still branch on business logic (amount, status). You stop branching on “which chat app.”
- Operations history. Make’s execution log is for debugging scenarios. AlertHub’s feed is for humans (“what fired this week?”).
- On-call that is not Slack. Many agencies live in Telegram. Make can send Telegram natively, but then Discord and email are extra modules again.
- Same destinations as WordPress and Zapier. A WooCommerce hook and a Make scenario can share one project. The warehouse sees one stream.
Step 0: Invite and project
- Create a project at app.thealerthub.com (getting started).
- Accept the Make invite and install AlertHub in your organization:
- Connect Slack / Telegram / email under AlertHub Connections.

Step 1: Add the AlertHub module
In any scenario:
- Add AlertHub after your trigger (and after Filters you care about).
- Connection → Add → paste the One-Way Secret Key. Name it
ProductionorClient X. - Fill Alert title, Alert description, Alert level, Source. Click a field to map tokens from previous modules.
- Turn Map on for Alert level if severity should depend on a previous step (
past_due→ Critical).
Only Warning and Critical leave the dashboard. Info is the quiet log — perfect for “every new Airtable row” without waking the founder.
A scenario you can duplicate
-
Trigger: Google Sheets — Watch New Rows (or Typeform, Shopify, Webflow, whatever you already use).
-
Filter (optional): amount greater than 0 / status is
paid. -
AlertHub:
- Title:
Make: {{column}} - Description: map two or three useful cells
- Level: Warning
- Source:
Make
- Title:
-
Run once. Confirm the alert in the dashboard.
That is the entire “notify the team” story. Add WhatsApp later in AlertHub, not as a new Make module (WhatsApp in Make also has extra compliance overhead).
High-intent scenarios to steal
| Trigger | Alert idea | Level |
|---|---|---|
| Shopify — Watch orders | Shopify {{order_id}} paid | Warning |
| Webflow form | Webflow lead {{email}} | Warning |
| Google Ads / Meta spend cap (via Sheets) | Ad spend over cap | Critical |
| Uptime robot / status page webhook | {{monitor}} down | Critical |
| ClickUp / Asana task in “Blocked” | Task blocked: {{name}} | Warning |
| Daily scheduler | Make heartbeat OK | Info |

Make vs Zapier vs WordPress plugin
- Make — visual scenarios, aggregators, iterators, cheaper at volume for many EU teams.
- Zapier — faster to find an app; use the Zapier article if that is your home.
- WordPress plugin — no automation platform at all for
wp_login_failed, WooCommerce, etc.
All three should send into AlertHub, not into three different Slack webhooks. Comparison in depth: Zapier vs Make for alerts.
Error handling in Make
Put AlertHub after a successful business step, or on an error route:
- Happy path:
info/warning“order synced to ERP.” - Error handler (Make’s error route):
criticalMake scenario failed: {{error.message}}.
That second pattern is gold. Make already knows the scenario broke; AlertHub makes sure a human sees it outside the Make UI.
FAQ
Is the Make app invite-only?
Yes, until you open the invite link. Then AlertHub shows up like any other app.
Can I map nested JSON?
Yes. Make’s mapper can flatten Stripe or HubSpot objects into title/description. For fully custom HTTP, use the Ingestion API module (HTTP) instead.
Does Info still use Make operations?
Yes — the module still runs. Use Info when you want history without push. If you want zero AlertHub noise, do not call the module; Filter first.
Next steps
Install AlertHub from the Make guide, replace one Slack module, and connect Telegram. The next scenario you clone will already speak every channel.
